Animate Your Meetings with GIFs
Ever wished you could add some flair to your Microsoft Teams video calls? With the introduction of animated backgrounds in May 2023, you can now bring your meetings to life with GIFs. Here's how to get started:
Step 1: Choose Your GIF
Find a GIF you like online or create your own. If you find an animated GIF, be sure to change the file extension to .png.
Step 2: Change File Extension
If your GIF is named "animated-background.gif," rename it to "animated-background.png."
Step 3: Upload in Teams
In Microsoft Teams, during a video call, click on the "Background Effects" icon and select "Add New." Navigate to the folder where you saved your PNG image and select it.
Step 4: Choose Your Background
Your PNG image will now be available as an animated background option. Click on it to apply it to your video feed.
Step 5: Enjoy Your Animated Background
Your meetings will now have a touch of animation and personality. You can change your background anytime by following the steps above.
